Last updated: July 14, 2026These terms govern your use of the TallShot browser extension and the tallshot.app website. By installing or using TallShot, you agree to them.
1. The product
TallShot is a browser extension that captures screenshots of web pages, lets you annotate them, and exports them to image or PDF files. All processing happens locally on your device.
2. Free and Pro
The core of TallShot — full page capture, region capture, mosaic blur and clean exports — is free, with no usage limits. The annotation toolkit (arrows, boxes, highlights, numbered steps, text) is part of TallShot Pro, a paid yearly subscription. Free users may try every Pro tool; exports that contain Pro annotations carry a visible watermark until a license is activated.
3. Licenses
- A Pro purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license key, activatable on up to 5 devices.
- Your license remains valid while your subscription is active. If a subscription lapses, is refunded, or is revoked, Pro features revert to the free tier; your captures and files are unaffected.
- You may not resell, share publicly, or attempt to circumvent license enforcement.
4. Payments
Purchases are processed by our third-party payment provider acting as merchant of record. Their checkout terms apply to the transaction itself. Prices are shown before purchase; applicable taxes may be added at checkout depending on your country. Refunds are handled per our refund policy.
5. Acceptable use
You are responsible for what you capture and how you use it. Do not use TallShot to infringe copyright, violate others' privacy, or break the terms of the websites you capture. TallShot is a tool; the responsibility for its use is yours.
6. Disclaimer of warranty
TallShot is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Web pages vary enormously, and while the capture engine handles the vast majority of them, we do not guarantee pixel-perfect results on every page (a small number of known limitations are documented in the extension's listing).
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of TallShot is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, for free users, is zero).
8. Changes
We may update the product and these terms. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page.
